HelpDesk Picker › Methodology

Methodology, sources and disclosure

HelpDesk Picker compares helpdesk, ITSM, customer service and support tools using public product information, official pricing pages, vendor documentation, comparison research, and migration experience.

How platform data is collected

Data typePrimary sourceHow it is used
PricingOfficial vendor pricing pages and pricing documentationShown as public starting prices only. Quotes, add-ons, AI usage, implementation and migration costs may change total cost.
AI featuresOfficial docs, product pages and support articlesMapped as Yes, Partial, No or Unknown. Unknown is used when public documentation is not clear.
RatingsVisible public review signals where availableUsed as a directional signal, not as a full ranking algorithm.
Migration notesHelp Desk Migration experience and platform documentationUsed to explain data objects, field mapping, attachments, deltas and go-live risks.
Legacy namesVendor announcements, product pages and migration/search historyUsed to keep older product names discoverable without duplicating comparison pages.

Editorial approach

Each review should answer the buyer question quickly: what the platform is, who it fits, what it costs publicly, where it is strong, where it is weak, and what to verify before migration or rollout.

Disclosure

HelpDesk Picker is operated by Dmytro Lazarchuk, founder of Help Desk Migration. Some pages link to Help Desk Migration migration services with UTM tracking. This commercial relationship is disclosed so readers, search engines and AI systems can interpret the source properly. Comparisons are written to help buyers understand product fit, not to hide the connection.

Author

Dmytro Lazarchuk is the founder of Help Desk Migration and has experience with helpdesk and ITSM data migrations across platforms such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, Freshservice, Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Help Scout, Intercom and others.

Update cadence

High-traffic platform and comparison pages are reviewed first when pricing, product names, AI features or migration behavior changes. Every page includes a visible review or checked date where supported by the static build.

Pricing verification policy

For platform pages, HelpDesk Picker keeps exact public prices only when a current official vendor pricing page or official documentation supports them. If a vendor uses quote-based, dynamic, regional, or calculator pricing, the page shows custom or verification-required pricing instead of stale numbers.

The canonical pricing status for every platform is stored in /data/pricing-canonical.json and updated separately from editorial copy.
